In shortcut and function not working

Question

I'm unsure as to why this happens, but on the latest version of Premiere, the Mark In hotkey and function stops working seemingly randomly. This hasn't effected the Mark Out function for me yet, but I have had to restart Premiere Pro twice now in about an hour of editing because the Mark In function isn't working in the source panel.

If the solution offered by Ann Bens doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:

Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.
