Insert Trim Multiple Clip's Edit Points In CC 2018 Not Working

Hi,

When I trim the edit points of multiple clips using the insert trim function I get odd results. Visually, the clip's edit points are not where they should be and are overlapping. When I select a clip after performing the edit, the clip length/edit point changes. If I then drag each clip down in the timeline so it is not touching another clip I can see that each clip has not had the appropriate amount of frames added/removed.

Insert Trim?  Those are typically two very different functions.

I'm confused.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for the reply. As you may be able to see in the screenshots above, I'm trying to add/remove frames on multiple clips in trim mode, using the yellow bracket (insert) as opposed to the red bracket (overwrite).

For example, if I have the tails of 3 clips selected with the yellow insert bracket and attempt to trim them out by 1 second, the clips seem to overlap. If I then select a clip with the mouse, the edit points suddenly change. It's like a glitch in the timeline. If I manually move the clips apart from each other in the timeline I can see also that it's not just a visual glitch but the clip lengths are not each 1 second longer. The first clip is 1 second longer, the second is 2 seconds longer and the third is 3 seconds longer.

I have been doing this same edit in earlier versions without a problem and I have only found this in CC 2018 when using the yellow brackets, red overwrite brackets seem to work fine.

I'm trying to replicate your issue but I can't get it to not work. Any chance you could upload a video of this issue?
