Try this: import the problematic file into a new project file. That helps with most projects exhibiting this behavior.

Maybe a rant feels good once in a while, but it gives no clues to what problem(s) you are having.

OS, Machine specs and issues give others clues to what might be happening. Mine is working OK so far.

Everything's going pretty well for most folks. What is precisely the issue? What kind of computer do you have? What kind of media? Can you tell us anything more about your project and workflow? Did you update a very complex project from one version to the next? Or have you stayed on the same version throughout the course of your project?
