Intel HD graphics 3000 with pp cs6

Hi

I'm currently shopping for a new cs6 editing laptop and am wanting to know if Adobe cs6 will work with a Intel HD graphics 3000 card? I know it's not the best card and will be a bottleneck on my build but I could really do with knowing.

Also on a side note...Will Adobe premiere Pro cs6 install on a Windows 10 rig?

Thanks

Giannis

    Giannis,

Very sluggishly, I'm afraid. The Intel HD Graphics 3000 does not support even OpenCL, let alone CUDA (which is restricted to Nvidia GPUs). What's more, the Windows version of Premiere Pro CS6 has OpenCL support permanently disabled at executable level, leaving only CUDA and software-only as your rendering choices.

For what it is worth, I just bought a second-hand laptop mainly for internet use while I was on an extended visit home, and it has the same graphics card as you mentioned.  I installed Premier Pro 2017 (I have a subscription) on the off chance I could finish up a few things. As it turned out, it worked fine for what I needed to do.  Not as fast as my home computer, and I was only taking an output of a film I had already created and subtitling it, but it did work.  No graphics acceleration for 2017, but my point is, if the card will run the newest version of Premiere Pro, I would think you would be fine for CS6--though I am making an assumption here.

FYI: My laptop is a  Core I5 with 8GB ram. I am running Windows 7 64 bit, however, and not 10.  I don't know if that changes anything or not.

CS6 will most likely run but you wont have MPE hardware (cuda), which can be a bit of a pain.

    CS6 runs on w10.

Hi Ann and thanks for the speedy reply

OK - so the main issue and panic I was having is that a windows 10 rig will not install my copy of Adobe Production Premium CS6

Are you saying a windows 10 rig will allow me to install my Adobe Programs specifically adobe premier pro cs6, adobe audition cs6 and photoshop cs6?

Worries as windows 10 did not exist when I bought my physical copy of Production Premium CS6

    Thanks
