Hello friends, I am experiencing an interesting crashing problem in Premiere Pro. When I drag the zoom line between the timeline and the video player monitor up or down, Premiere Pro crashes. Has anyone experienced this problem before?

Try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. Do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver).

The most probable issue for me was the graphics card drivers, but no matter what I tried, the result did not change. The latest nvidia studio drivers are installed, yes, I do not work with the game drivers. There are only 2 graphics cards in the notebook, you know. Intel and Nvidia. I wonder if Premiere Pro is experiencing a problem when switching between them. But there is no similar problem in any other program. When I completely turn off the Intel graphics card, I cannot use the 2nd monitor 😞

Hi,

Have you tried resetting Premiere preferences to see if it helps?

Usually, minor bugs are (temporarily) fixed by resetting preferences.

Yes I tried, I even tried many different things. I did a clean install of Windows 11, only the necessary drivers and only Premiere Pro and tried again, same thing 😞

I am experiencing this problem when I drag the line on the timeline up to enlarge it. There is no problem with other programs, the PC passes all hardware stress tests. I am rendering very fast, I have no other problems. But whenever I enlarge or reduce the timeline, Premiere Pro crashes.

mp4 files are heavily compressed and although Premiere will usually work with them, I almost always transcode to a "mezzaine" format like prores...

Interesting point of view, I will try this tonight. With wav format. I always thought it was a graphics card problem, maybe it is related to the sound, who knows.
