Question

Is my Sony A7sii crashing PremPro

I have been editing video from a Canon 5D for years with no problems.

I have just bought a Sony A7sii, I am shooting in XAVC S HD and premiere is now crashing randomly. By crashing I mean Freezing up and killing the GPU, most of the time I have to hard restart my PC.

This only happens when I have A7sii video files on the timeline.

This is happening on two different machines. Firstly my work PC with an Nvidia 1060 and with my home PC also using a 1060.

Is anyone else having this issue with video from an A7sii?

Thanks

Jonny

Uncheck that box!

I am not sure if I can be of any additional help but I have had zero problems with my XAVC-S from my FDR-AX100 with my desktop which has a GTX 1060 or my laptop with an older GTX 765M.

  1. What numeric number version of Premiere Pro?
  2. What version OS?
  3. What numeric number version of nVidia driver?

Under Edit>Preferences>Media, toggle the Intel H.264 option.
