Is Premier Pro really not able to work with MPEG-4-Film coming from Sony 7IV?

Hello,

I try to import video footage from my Sony 7IV via MP4, Codec: H.265.

Can premier really not handle this format? 

I see some toll suggestions online for video converters, but this not the way adobe right?

Drohne footage in other format is working by the way.

Just quickly tried davinci, direct importing everything fine...

Happy if someone has a solution
