Is Premiere Pro CC 2019 trial more faulty?

Started a new account with Creative Cloud, downloaded Premiere Pro to edit a large project. However, I can't even get past linking media without it crashing (spinning wheel of death)

I am on the trial week and started the month plan.

PLEASE help. Is the trial lower quality? Why is it not responding?

Trial is fully functionally except for the h.265 codec.

Best is to work from internal drives.

An external drive is good for backup.

Can you please share more info about the specs of your system and your storage configuration?

Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i5

Memory: 8 GB 1867 MHz DDR3

Graphics: Intel Iris Graphics 6100 1536 MB

I am pulling from My Passport External Hard Drive (3 TBs)

You might have a corrupted file in the media you are trying to link. please double check that
