Question

Is there a similar feature in Premiere Pro?

Hi everyone, I'm looking for a way to efficiently sync the durations of multiple stacked clips to the playhead. Some of the clips are shorter, and others are longer than what I need. I've tried pressing E, Shift+Q, and Shift+W in Premiere, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for.

Please see the short example (from another application) in this video: youtu.be/HZ82zTZRK9I?t=509

The easiest way to achieve this in Premiere Pro is to:

  1. Select all the clips you want to adjust.
  2. Go to Clip > Speed/Duration (or press Cmd/Ctrl + R).
  3. In the dialog box, unlink Speed and Duration by clicking the chain link icon.
  4. Enter the desired Duration for all clips.
  5. Click OK to apply the change.

If you want the clips that follow to shift automatically with the new durations, make sure to enable Ripple Edit (Shift Trailing Clips).

Check Automation Blocks library or try a script
