Question

Is there a way to freeze the bottom of project window like it used to?

Is this a bug or a feature?  I just (begrudgingly) updated to Premiere 25.6.3 and I'm finding a few quirks that are frustrating and wondering if there is a way to customize this back to how it used to be.

I've noticed the bottom bar of the project panel window now scrolls with my bins instead of staying locked into place (see video). This means any time I want to create a new sequence, change list view, etc I need to scroll down to the bottom of the project panel and lose my place in the list.

Similarly, when I click "reveal in project" from the sequence, the project panel no longer jumps to reveal where the file is... it will highlight it, but if I have a large list of assets, it takes a long time to find.

Have others noticed this or have any ideas for a workaround?

That's not ideal.

Are you on macOS or Windows? Is it a multi-monitor setup? Are you using a custom workspace? Can you try resetting it or using a different one? If that doesn't help, try resetting the preferences.

Let me know.

Thanks,
Nishu

Hi Nishu, thanks for the response.  I'm relieved to know this behavior isn't typical.

I'm on MacOS (Sonoma 14.5).  It is a multi monitor setup with a custom workspace.  I just selected a preset workspace and that did correct the behavior.  I'll keep experimenting here to see if it comes back once I customize the workspace again.

Re: "Reveal in Project" seems to be working as well with the new layout.  However "Reveal in Finder" will often open the finder but to a totally different location than the selected media.  The media is online so the path shouldn't be broken.  Is there a way to reset this so it works?

Thank you!
