Is there a way to copy a specific clip or set of attributes from a clip and then (instead of using command+v) program shortcut keys that will paste specific clip or clip-attributes?

For example...
When I press the #1 key on my keyboard, it will paste video-clipA onto the timeline
When I press the #2 key on my keyboard, it pastes video-clipB onto the timeline
.....OR.........
When I select a clip on the timeline and then press the #3 key on my keyboard,
it pastes all the audio attributes from audio-clipC onto that clip.
(command+C and Command+V will work as normal)

Thanks!

For inserting specific clips into a timeline at any given moment, I recommend using Pancake Timelines.
Here’s a helpful video tutorial.

For pasting specific attributes, create effects presets—these presets can contain more than one effect.
Learn more about effects presets here.

If you want to do it with copy/paste, I would recommend looking into a clipboard manager for your operating system.

1. select the first clip you want to copy attributes from => Command + c

2. select the second clip you want to paste specific attributes to =>

    Option + Command + V (Mac) or Alt + Ctrl + V (Windows)

3. choose your desired attributes to paste.

You can also do that while selecting multiple clips on the timeline to paste attributes to.

You also have the option to save all effects used in a clip as presets, import the presets

to the presets bin, then drag/drop the presets onto your clips on the timeline.
