Question

Is there an "auto" button for colors and levels in the new Color panel?

In the old Lumetri color panel there was an “auto” button that got levels and colors to a good starting place.

I can’t find an auto button in this new Color system of 26.3.0 beta. Is it there?

AFAIK an auto balance feature is high up on the list of things to add next and planned to have in before Color mode goes out of beta.

In the new Color system (beta) the “Auto” button from Lumetri isn’t there.

That’s because the new Color workflow is a completely separate color engine and interface Lumetri itself has been moved out of the main workflow (you can still add it as an effect if needed), while the new Color Mode introduces a different set of tools and philosophy.

The old Auto function was part of Lumetri’s Basic Correction (driven by Adobe Sensei to quickly set exposure, wb, contrast, etc.) but an equivalent one-click “auto fix” doesn’t seem to exist (yet) in the new system.

For me personally, this is actually a bit of a dealbreaker. I used the Auto button all the time to quickly get exposure and color into a reasonable starting range before doing manual adjustments. It was a fast and practical first step in my workflow, and I really miss having that option.

It was an accident. On hitting enter after asking the first question there wasn’t any kind of feedback that the post had been completed. I thought it was my mistake and so I filled out the question again.

As well as not being able to find the “auto” button I couldn’t find a way to delete the second question.
