Question

Issue with audio not being recognized to create auto transcript

I’m trying to transcribe a sequence, but Premiere keeps saying “No dialogue found” even though the clip clearly has spoken audio.

  • Audio meters are active and levels are normal
  • Clip is not muted and is on the timeline (A1)
  • I’m using Transcribe Sequence (not static transcript)
  • Tried tagging audio as Dialogue + different settings
  • Reinstalled Premiere and cleared cache
  • Still happening across multiple projects

Footage is a .MOV file, audio plays fine — it just won’t generate a transcript.

Has anyone run into this or know a fix?

    Hi aaron_6367,

    We’re investigating a similar issue & have made improvements in the latest Beta. Would you mind trying the latest Beta version to see if it’s working properly? You may refer to this link to learn more about the Creative Cloud Beta Program.

    Thanks,

    @aaron_6367,

    See my post here. This appears to be a bug:

    @Myra Ferguson,

    Thanks for posting that. But this issue in 26.x appears to be a bug that only affects some users.
