Issue with Canon EOS C300 footage

I noticed this ISSUE ONE several versions back, and it still persists with CC 2017:

When I use the Media Browser to import multiple clips from the CLIPS001 folder, and put them all into a single timeline (by sorting them by name and doing a Select All), the first clip is repeated over and over again in the timeline.

I've figured a workaround:  Drag all the .MFX clips into their own new Folder, and then drag all the .MFX into the Pr Project pane.  Then when I drag all into a new Timeline / Sequence, I see all my different clips as it should be.

NEW PROBLEM - ISSUE TWO - UNIQUE TO CC 2017:

After going through the above routine, it started working OK for a while, then all of a sudden, a bunch of my clips (over half of them) turned solid orange, and I got Errors in the event viewer: "MXF Read Error."

I deleted prefs, rebooted, and uninstalled Pr and re-installed Pr, and the problem persists.

So, I started a new Project in Pr CC 2015.2 (the last reliable version before CC 2017), and the problem has not shown up (yet).

I've only had this issue with footage from this same camera guy using this same camera.  I get footage from lots of different shooters and cameras.
