Issue with speed adjustment bar on iPad

For some reason I can't use or touch the speed adjustment bar. I reset my iPad, exit the app, and close the app. Nothing seems to work. I figure it might be a trial that I'm using and have to pay monthly for the app. Which I did pay and it seems like the speed adjustment bar is not working for me. I don't understand why it won't work. Someone please help me. I put a picture below to show that the speed adjustment bar is not highlighted in white like the clip duration.
