issue with v 14.1

I have just updated Premier to version 14.1 and now I have a major issue.

When ever I log into a project I get an error message saying "A low level exception occurred in adpbe player (player 79)" and although I can see my time line ect, it wont show any of my edit in the preview window, so I cant look at any of my footage,

Anyone elese experinced this and got a fix? I've restarted premier and my PC and that didn't help.

For the curious, yes, the latest Premiere update corrected things on my end with no other clicking or cleansing involved.

I am now running 14.1 without problems.
I have deleted all cache files, uninstalled 14.04 and after a reboot installed 14.1.
For me, the problem was actually with the old title tool, I had created some animated inserts years ago and carried them around with me.
Good time to redesign the titles.
Timeline duplicated and replaced the old titles.
Now it works.

I see a few people have corrected this by uninstalling then putting 14.1 in clean. I tried this morning with the same result: all footage missing unless I switch over to Software Only rendering. I'm back down to 14.04 until I hear someone on the board say different.

Had this problem also. Cleaned cache completely and that didn't fix it... Only thing I could do was use Software Only as a renderer, which is not ideal.

Downgraded back to 14.0.4

Hello, Harry,

have here almost the same problem, only that I get "Player 5" reported (Win10, Quadro M4000).
With "software only" I can play videos, but not with GPU support.
Now I have downgraded to 14.0.4.

I never update by overwritng the program.

I always uninstall, reboot, install, reboot.

Ditto here. Working on a iMacPro - 10.16.3 High Sierra. Only way I could correct things was by switching off Metal to Software Only. Ridiculous!

Hi Harry, Just been messing around trying to find the answer to this and this I solved it, I cleared my Media Cache files and it fixed the issue on the project I was working on - see below:-

Go to "edit" -"preferences" - "media cache" - click on "delete" - then click the circle for "delete all media cache files from system"

Have just updated to 14.1 and having same issues, Premiere cannot locate any of my media files so have lost projects and had to rebuild from scratch!! Very frustrating and nothong on youtube has a fix either.

reboot,

Use cleaner tool,

reboot,

install,

reboot.
