Hello Team,

When I'm trying to edit I cannot play the video. After downloading the video and when I drop it in Pr. Pro it does not play.

Kindly assist urgently.

Thank you,

Best regards,

Also:

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the preferences:

If that doesn't work, try resetting the Workspaces:
Reset a workspace
Reset the current workspace to return to its original, saved layout of panels.
1. Do one of the following:
• Click the Workspace menu icon and select Reset to Saved Layout.
• Choose Window > Workspace > Reset to Saved Layout.
from here:
https://helpx.adobe.com/premiere-pro/using/workspaces.html

If that doesn't work, try Preferences > Audio Hardware and set Input to None.

If that doesn’t work, try updating or rolling back your graphics driver directly from the video card manufacturer’s site. If NVIDIA, do a clean installation of the latest Studio Driver (NOT the Game Driver)

If that doesn't work, try creating a new project and import the old one into it.

Please use the free MediaInfo and post a screenshot of the properties of your media in tree view:

Many users are having issues with VFR. If the file is variable frame rate, use Handbrake to convert to constant frame rate:

It is a MP4 file. I have tried with multiple videos and it does not work.

It does not play at all. I'm using a Windows desktop.

Is this a new problem? Has Premiere worked for you before?

Is it the case that when you import the video into a project, and double click on it in the project, that nothing shows up in the source window, or does it show but not advance when you hit the space bar?

What happens when you add the file to a sequence?

Again please tell us what steps you've tried.

Yes this is a new problem. I have been using Premiere Pro since a year and it didn't occur before.

That's right when I import the video into a project, and double click on it in the project, that nothing shows up in the source window.

When I add the file to a sequence also it does not play.

Kindly let me know if we can get on a call tomorrow.

What kind of file, what version of Premiere, and what system?

Can you tell us the steps you've tried?

Does it play in other apps?

Does it play in the source window but not on the timeline, or not at all?
