Issues making proxies

So lately when I attempt to make proxies for projects media encoder and/or premeire is selecting a completely differnt project entirely and starts making proxies for that one insead. I tried to just select one clip and make a proxie for that and it does the same thing. It selects a different project and even duplicates proxies of ones I have already made. Pretty confused in why this is happening... anyone else experience this or have found a solution?

I thought maybe a setting got changed in the mix of it but am unsure of what even to check.

If Media Encoder was force-closed, or closed while there were unfinished stuff in the queue, it will load that same queue when re-opened. I feel that's what's happening with you.

So, open Media Encoder, let it load completely, CTRL-A to select everything in the queue, and delete. Then try to create the proxies.

Hope this helps.

Thank you! yeah I never even noticed this since the workspace changed. Thank you again!

Would you happen to know why media encoder crashes when I am doing proxies? Everytime. It gets about halfway through footage and fails...

Hey, Gray

Are you using the latest builds?  Use the latest Media Encoder builds. While running the application while holding down the "Shift" key, reset the preferences.

Try again and let us know.

Thanks,

Suraj.
