Issues when dragging anything on Premiere Pro

Hi all, 

I am experiencing a glitch with Premiere Pro where any form of dragging does not work. For example, dragging any ‘effect control’ value will treat it as a click and opens the text box, dragging to extend a clip or move a layer simply won’t work, and even dragging to scrub the playhead does not work. It’s a super frustrating glitch that I first noticed in January, but today it’s playing up more-so than usual. This is an intermittent glitch; dragging does & can work, but only half of the time.

This issue occurs when using either the trackpad or external mouse, so it can’t be a hardware issue.

I have reinstalled Premiere Pro numerous times in an attempt to fix the issue, but the glitch still continues. 

I’ve attached a screen recording to show exactly what I’m experiencing.

I am running Premiere Pro Version 26.0.1 (Build 3) on a MacBook Pro (Nov 2024), 48GB memory, running Tahoe 26.3.

I’d appreciate any help and support on this!
