Issues with playback after clipping segments

Hey everyone,

I'm having some issues here. I'm working off of a Macbook Pro with the latest version of Premiere Pro CC that was just installed a few days ago.

As I am clipping segments of the video using the razor tool, and when I go back to play the video just seconds before the clip just to make sure I got the right timing, the audio plays but the video is stuck. The blue play line is also stuck. I'm not quite sure what to do. I will typically save and then exit the program and restart it. It works ok until I clip another segment and try to this again.

Any tips on how I can fix this problem or if anyone else is experiencing something similar? It's just really taking a lot time constantly exiting and rebooting the program.
