Issues with soundboard and transcription

This can happen sometimes if the source material is Stereo and the Left and Right channels have a phase such that they are cancelling out when mixed down to Mono. The transcription engine first mixes Stereo down to Mono before transcribing, and so the transcription is only "hearing" the mostly silent interference between the out of phase channels.

One way to work around this is to right click on the clip in the Project panel and choose Modify > Audio Channels. In there, set the clip to be a Mono clip. This will take the Left channel and Premiere Pro will pretend it's the only channel. Then, right click > Re-Transcribe the clip. Once the transcript is succesfully made, go back into Modify > Audio Channels and set it back to the "Use File" preset. The transcript will remain attached.
