Question

Jpegs in sequence show up as Media Offline upon export.

Hello again!

I tried to export the still picture portion of my sequence and all of the jpegs appeared as offline.

They're fine within my sequence and I "imported" them from my iphoto photo library. The Metadata tab reveals a Status of "Online" within Premiere Pro 2025 and I have no trouble seeing or manipulating them within Premiere.  I have not renamed any files.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

@Tim_Brady how exactly did you import them? Did you drag them from the Photos app?

If so, there must be something strange going on there interrupting Premiere Pro when it tries to export media from that location. The Photos app, when syncing with an iCloud Photo Library, manages local vs online copies of the photos and so it may be that the full resolution version of the photo isn't really there all the time.

I would suggest first exporting from Photos to a folder on your hard drive next to your other media, and then you can select your photos in your edit, right click and choose Make Offline. Then relink them, pointing to the copies you exported.

Matt,

I've imported so many pictures. Some were dragged from iphoto and desktop folders other were imported using Import from the dropdown menu,

Hi Tim,

Thanks for the message. I have a feeling that the issue has to do with the iPhoto photos. What happens if you export them from Preview instead? Let me know. Sorry for the frustration.

Thanks,

Kevin

Thanks for the quick response. I'm assuming you're asking me to export a picture straight from the source monitor. (I'm an old Avid editor.) It will export a playable image but not before giving me the warning message, "Source color space (Display P3) cannot be exported by the currently selected format. Export color space  (Rec. 79) will be used instead."
