Jump to next/prevous marker shortcut does not work!

Macbook pro Mmax. Premiere 23.3.

Problem: Jump to next/prevous marker shortcut does not work!!! work flow seriously hampered. Tried all the things recommnded in the support communities and it doesnt work. Many other people report this bug. Can this be fixed?
