okay so i just installed premiere yesterday and today I imported my gopro clips from my sd card and they all imported successfully. I put some in my timeline and when i play them it shows the audio bar things to the left rising and falling as if there is audio but there is nothing playing in my headphones. Just to make sure I rechecked the clips to make sure they had audio and they do. I am also watching a youtube video and I hear audio fine so I know I don't have anything muted. Please help. thanks

Two things as mentioned above:

Make sure the clips have audio within premiere by checking the waveforms. If that's good then you'll need to go into your audio prefs and select a different audio output device. Common problem, easy to solve.

Do you have a timeline and does that timeline have both video and audio displayed ( audio generates waveforms when imported so you can 'see' the audio squiggly lines ) ?

Does your computer have speakers ? Can you hear sound with speakers even though you can't hear with headphones ?

Are you on windows or mac ? Do you have a volume control and sound SETTINGS on your computer ?

Have you gone to preferences in PPro to see what your audio settings are ?
