Keep Captions 608 or 708 track in video frame after converting the video to playlist .m3u8
Question:
My goal is to create multiple captions CEA-608, CEA-708 in one playlist .m3u8 by using either .ts or .mp4. Is Adobe premiere pro the right tool? If not, any suggestion?
Steps that I have done:
(1)Successful story -- I was able to create CEA-608 or CEA-708 captions by using .mp4 with Adobe's premiere Pro, it simulated CEA-608 caption on the screen, I was very happy.
(2) Since I need .m3u8 (playlist) for testing purpose, so I exported and burned-in to new .mp4 file.(contained CEA-608 caption)
Then, I used apple's command tool "mediastreamsegmenter" to generate .m3u8 playlist from the .mp4 (which contained captions created by Adobe's premiere pro)
(3) Failed result -- The CEA-608 caption disappeared if performing video playback by using .m3u8 playlist (generated by using apple's command tool). It seemed to me that the CEA 608 captions crated by Adobe's premiere was burned-in with image and did not keep the CEA-608 captions track for video frame.
(4) Any suggestion? I am not sure Adobe's premiere can keep CEA 608 captions in video frame so that I am able to use apple's "mediastreamsegmenter" to convert the video to .m3u8 playlist without losing CEA-608 captions that created from Adobe's premiere pro.
Note: I can try to use .ts file instead of .mp4 to see any difference.
Thanks
