Keyboard commands stop working

Keyboard commands stop working when program monitor is double clicked, playback is resumes, and playhead is past the selected clip. Can't play/pause/etc after that, until I select the timeline. 

To replicate the issue:

Select a clip on timeline, with the playhead hovering over clip. 

Double click on program monitor to shift the clip's position

Press spacebar (Timeline plays)

As soon as the playhead moves past the currently selected clip, keyboard commands stop working.
