Keyboard shortcut for shortening clip a frame at a time

I'm cutting together a bunch of clips with a quarter-second dissolve between each clip to soften the cut. If I use the entire clip, I do not have enough data for the dissolve, hence I have to shorten each end of the clip to allow for the dissolve transition. Is there a keyboard shortcut to shorten the end of a clip?

See screen shot. I have the "Cookie Time" clip chosen (that's my understanding - when I click on a clip and it turns white that means it's chosen). I've moved the cursor a few frames to the right of the beginning of clip. When I click on "W" the chosen clip does trim the chosen clip a few frames BUT the audio track below also gets trimmed for some reason. How do I trim only the chosen video clip?
