Keyboard shortcuts for switching cameras in a multicam edit are not working

Question

The Keyboard shortcuts ( 1, 2, 3, 4) for switching cameras in a multicam edit are not working. I tried switching back to the default shortcut keys, tried reinstalling premierepro, but nothing worked.

What ultimately did work was simply creating a new sequence, and copying the content over to the new sequence.
So has to be some sort of bug.

Check your track targeting. If a track other than the one your multicam clip is on is targeted, the number key shortcuts won't switch cameras.

This can also happen when you're changing the angle on multiple selected multicam clips at once, and that selection includes a non-multicam clip.

Thanks for that Paul.Whilst I was able to get on with my editing by moving to a new Timeline (which probably inadvertently fixed the Track Targeting issue that you’ve highlighted), I did go back and test what you’ve suggested and it turns out it’s as you’ve said.Thanks for the solution!!
