Question

Keyboard shortcuts from freshly created ".kys" file different across machines.

Just created a fresh keyboard shortcuts file (.kys extension). I made it on Machine 2 and copied it over to Machine 1 and loaded the shortcuts in the Keyboard Shortcuts panel. Simple enough.

Except the shortcuts on Machine 1 are not the same as on the source computer, Machine 2.

I can see it clearly too. It's not that the shortcuts are wrong. They are showing up, but seem to be *appended* onto the original shortcuts, as opposed to the new ones replacing altogether. In other words, the new shortcuts are sharing multple conflicting commands. There are no such conflicts on the source computer on which these shortcuts were originally created.

Expected behavior is that loading shortcuts completely replaces old shortcuts, with no conflicts.

Any ideas?

@videowizard.io could you share a "before" and "after" version of your .kys file? There's a new behavior in Premiere Pro 23.4 which will back-fill any empty keys with their defaults. This is intentional (and one time) to improve the .kys format for the future. But it shouldn't be creating conflicts, so I'd like to take a look at yours specifically. Thanks!
