Keyboard stopped working in Adobe Premiere (latest CC) and Mac OS Big Sur

I have been using Premiere with no issue in Big Sur, but suddenly out of nowhere, Premiere doesn't accept any keyboard input. I hit space bar to try to play a track and it doesn't work. I try to command+c to copy and command+p to paste in a timeline and that doesn't work. I also tried just doing a Command+Q to quit Premiere and it doesn't recognize it.

I saw some threads about resetting workspaces, but that didn't do anything.

I also noticed keyboard input is also affected in Photoshop (latest CC) and it won't even take a Command+Q to quite Photoshop.

Any ideas on what's going on here?

Well, I spoke too soon and found the post on resetting Premiere cache and preferences by doing Shift+Option while starting app. That resolved it.
