Keyframes not responding on adjustment layer

Question

I'm trying to add a lens distortion effect across several clips to create a transition and I'm using an adjustment layer.
When I change the curvature value the effect applies to the footage (so there is only one value applied to the adjustment layer at this point), but then stops working when I try to add keyframes to have different amounts of curvature at different times.

I also tried to make a preset as I had it working in another project

However, when I add this lens distortion preset to the adjustment layer it doesn't work

Any suggestions on how to solve this would be greatly appreciated

Delete the Media Cache and Media Cache files:

Then try pressing Enter to render the timeline and turn the red line above the timeline to green.

Are there other effects applied to the adjustment layer?

If so, try changing their order in the Effects Control Panel.
