.KYS Keyboard shortcuts are gone and custom workspace is missing

My saved Keyboard shortcuts .KYS files are gone.  Just today they are no longer there and I lost all my custom keyboard shortcuts I have been using for years.  Oddly, in the same day, I lost my Workspaces.  My custom workspace built specifically for my monitor layout is gone. Where did these files go and how can they be restored?

    That sounds like Premiere has lost permissions for the drive they are on, or an app on your computer ‘cleaned up’ that area. Their Help files list the locations those are stored in both PCs and Macs, so check there for where to look.

     

    Sometimes app installlations or updates … either of Premiere or the CC app or the OS … can result in the permissions for the folder tree that the files are stored in to be set to read-only. That’s happened to me a couple times. And suddenly you can’t access any user prefs.
