Latest version of Premiere Pro vers 12.0.1 keeps coming up with error# 99 in export

I'm trying to export a video for a client, and the settings that I used in the previous version which worked fine, now keeps coming up with an Error 99 message. I tried a variety of different options, turned MRQ on and off, etc... and nothing seems to work. Anyone else experiencing this export issue? Since this upgrade I have been unable to export any videos including the ones for my clients. The issue is not only for this video.

Please give tips/actions to fix this problem. I really regret upgrading as this is hurting my business.

Thank you.

Many of the solutions to this error (when solved) appear to be changes to something in the editing that is not working. They may be (multiple) bugs, but changing them allows the user to proceed. For example, changing Scale to Frame Size to Set to Frame size; removing an adjustment layer; changing the opacity on a plugin effect. All of these fixes rely on tracking down the problem clips, and the timecode reported in the error can be helpful.

The error code 99 appears to share some issues with error code 5, where some of the fixes relate to punctuation in sequence names and/or export filenames or paths.

And some users had success with deleting preview files, resetting preferences, and/or changing sequence preview settings.

Does the error occur on rendering? Or just when you export? If rendering, that makes troubleshooting a bit easier, since you can just change the render area to see if you can identify a problem area.
