Left and Right Audio tracks recorded different, Premiere Pro Fix?

Hi,

I'm working on some footage for a client and it seems like whoever recorded the dialogue did something strange with the audio tracks. In my premiere Pro timeline, the Left and Right channels are completely different. It's creating a strange reverb/echo. Is there a way to fix this in Premiere Pro?

It almost seems like one source is shotgun mic and the other is a lav recording just his dialogue...and they both recored to the same card??? IDK

    There are a lot of ways to work with audio in Premiere. For this issue, an easy solution would be to go to Audio Effects > Stereo > Fill Left with Right/ Fill Right with Left. Using these effects, you can basically make a mono track from either the left or the right channel, whichever sounds better.

      Thanks for the info. This works for the ProRes files I was given (which were stereo files).

      Turns out, the RAW files were shot with 4 channel audio. That was the issue, 4 channel audio being played in 2 channel stereo.

      In the bin, right-click one of the audio files, then select Modify > Audio Channels. That'll give you options on how to sort out audio the way you want. You can save that setting. You can also select multiple clips and change them all at once.
