Live Template - "aecap" still seems to require After effects

Hi,

I read that in the 2017 Release of CC, the Live Template between After effects and Premiere Pro has been optimized.

So I heard that the new file format (aecap) allows Premiere Pro user to import AE-Animations without having an AE-licence.

That would be a great function for our editorial squad because I am the only one having full creative Cloud-access.

After updating to the 2017 Versions and testing the new function, Premiere still tells me that After effects license is required.

Will there be the opportunity to use Live templates without After effects installed or not?

Hope it is just a starting problem for the function because it would be really helpful for us.

Does anyone no more about it?

greetings

Same here, the file is not recognized on mac as long as AE is not installed.
