Question

Live-to-tape setup using Adobe Premiere

I recently learned about the ATEM Mini Pro ISO, which is a hardware video switcher that is able to do a live-to-tape production. This means that I can use the switcher for a live video production, but the switcher also records all camera inputs and creates a DaVinci Resolve Project file to edit later. The DaVinci Resolve project file contains all cuts as they were made during the live production, but it allows editing the cuts, e.g., if I made a mistake during the live production.

Because I am more used to Adobe Premiere, I would like to know if and how a similar setup would be possible with Premiere. Since this is a fictional project for me at the moment, there are no budget caps, so, feel free to dream up the most expensive setup.

Thanks and cheers 🙂

Hi @vatbub,

Thanks for the info. You could probably get an FCPXML out of Resolve and import that into Premiere Pro. See if that works. Let us know!

Thanks,

Kevin
