Losing frames when you import a 29.97 fps video

hi,when I import a video of 29.97 fps I noticed that some frames are lost from the original video, they are very few about 5 frames every so many frames... the thing is very annoying because if I run the original video on VLC the fast sequences are seen very well, but if I import the video on premiere without making any changes with the original sequence settings then everything starts to go jerky, the frames are lost, the small very fast details are lost, what can I do???

the video in original is 29.97 in VLC but on premiere the sequence is stil 29.97 but frames in preview and in export seems less... anyway i fixed importing the video on https://new.express.adobe.com/ and magically with export from this link tool now premiere read correctly the video.... better for me.

Are you putting it on a 29.97fps timeline?

If you are putting it on say a 24fps timeline then some frames will disappear.

Perhaps your video is VFR and actually higher than 29.97? What frame-rate does VLC report the clip as?
