Question

Low quality audio of imported .mov file in both timeline + exported file (Source file audio is fine)

Hi there!

I've been having issues when it comes to importing .mov files into Premiere and the audio quality being low.

When opening the source file to view in Quicktime, video and audio quality is just fine but once I import that same file into Premiere, the file sounds scratchy and staticy both in playback within the program and upon exporting it.

I've tried a couple things already to resolve the problem but am having no luck. I tried opening a new sequence, dropping the source video into it and changing the sequence settings to match the source video, but that did not help. I'm not very well versed in regards to messing with audio levels and such, so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

Hi Team Rene,

Can you upload a file so we can take a look?

Thanks,
Kevin

Sure can!

Here is the Premiere file but unfortunately, the original source file is too big to upload. Thanks!

Hi,

The project file worked fine with local media. What is the format of the source file? Can you let me know which camera shot the file?

Thanks,
Kevin
