Lumetri color eyedropper selects incorrect color when panel is placed on 2nd monitor.

As described in title. When the panel shares a plysical computer monitor with the Premiere's "program" monitor, it selects the correct color (the location of the mouse pointer). When Lumetri is on a separate physical computer monitor from the Adobe's "program" monitor, it "selects" a color from somewhere else in the image (NOT the location of the mouse pointer).

This has mostly been a problem when either the 'same' screen is spread over both monitors or when even a single pixel of the second screen actually extends over onto the first screen, which you normally can't even see.

 

So ... are you using an OS setting of using the monitor space as one screen, or as separate screens?

 

And are you using a window you've sized, or the Transmit Out function, set to that monitor? As it is less likely to occur if using the Transmit Out process, more likely to occur if you moved a panel over to the other monitor.

2nd monitor as "extended display" via MacOS display settings. Specifically to have more screen real estate for panels. 

Easy workaround so, not a huge deal, but feels like a worthwhile glitch to fix, as this is likely a very common setup among Mac users.

On PCs the option to "extend desktop to this display" is the correct one, there's a duplicate option and something. This gives you separate discreet screens to use if you wish. Might be the same option.

 

This app can be a bit odd when it 'reads' where other screens are. It reads as +/- pixels from the top left of the 'main' UI screen to the top left of the additional screen. Rather than just setting for "monitor X" like some apps do.

 

I've got the UI across two screens, with a third at times, and a fourth as my "Transmit out" or "clean feed" depending on the app. I've kept the Program monitor on the original location on the main UI menu window/screen, but rather small, as I almost always have that full-screen Transmit Out going. So sampling is done on the same screen the Lumetri panel is in.

 

I've heard from others using a twin-screen setup with the program monitor in a separate panel on the second screen ... that as mentioned above, if that panel on the second screen has ONE line of pixels overlapping the main UI screen, they get this among other weird behaviors.

 

But you need to make a panel, drag it to the second screen, resize it to fit tightly within the screen boundaries, then add other panels to it. Just dragging the edge of the app across another screen doesn't seem to work.
