Lumetri color mask handles and segments turn invisible after a few copy and pastes

In my project I have drawn a mask with the pen tool for a Lumetri color correction effect. I copy the mask between different video clips, and suddenly the mask handles and segments completely disappear, only the masking effect remains.

The only way I can get the handles and segments to reappear is to shut down Premiere Pro 2018 CC and reopen it.

Anyone else experience this? Am I facing some sort of bug or is there something I am overlooking?

Then, after I have copied the effect from one clip to the next, I completely lose the ability to see or edit masks on any clip.

    The Mask needs to be selected in the Effect Controls panel.

    Yes, it is. When Mask (1) is selected in the Effects Control panel, the handles and segments do not show up in the Program monitor as expected.

    OK.

    The only time I've seen that is when folks are trying to run PP on a Laptop, none of which have screens large enough for the job.  I do recommend a 24" 1080 monitor at a minimum.
