lumetri color not working with BCC uprez

I have my SD source clip in an 1440x1080 sequence. I put the BCC uprez filter on track 3 and source to track 2. I already have lubetri color working on track 2 but when I combine it with track 3 it disappers even though it wsa working. 
How can I get Lubetri color to work with BCC uprez?

    Try nesting or 'render and replace' the SD BCC Uprez clip.

    Or have you 'preview rendered' this part of your sequence. Occasionally I've seen this same behaviour - a layer or effect on the highest track dissapears. But it still renders fine.
