Lumetri Scopes Do Not Appear (CC 2020 v14.0, MacBook Air)

Lumetri Scopes do not appear when I add them to my workspace. The panel shows up but the actual scopes do not. Is this a software bug or a hardware deficiency?

I'm using Adobe CC 2020 and Premiere v.14.0 on a Mid 2012 MacBook Air running Catalina 10.15.3.

I’ve found that sometimes the panel may not show scopes but if I make a slight size adjustment to the edge of the panel with the double arrows, it nudges Premiere to draw the scopes
