M2 drive for OS and SSD for Premiere, or other way round?

Hi 

I'm building a Windows pc to edit video and I'm wondering which way round I should install my operating system. I figured Windows should go on the M2 drive, along with the Pr program, and the SATA SSD should handle projects, library, cache, etc. Is this the best configuration or is there an argument for installing the OS on the SATA and the project files on the M2?

    Other way around. Extensive data by Bill Gehrke's test results on many computers showed any recent good SSD was fast enough for OS/programs.

    Use the speed of the m.2 for project and cache files plus previews.

    I agree wholeheartedly with Neil.

    Due to previous research I'd done, my setup is a SATA SSD for Windows and Application installs, and a M2 SSD for data (raw video/photos, other working documents, etc.)

    Outside of a Backup HDD and NAS for archive and personal media, I don't have any other drives so the cache and projects also live on the Data M2 SSD. This has worked great for me. The OS and app boot time on the SATA SSD is more than satisfactory.
