Mac Updates - All premiere projects from last month gone

Hi all,

I recently just updated my Mac as it had been pestering me for a couple of days.

For each project, I have the main one and then I continuously make different copies which are saved in another location - these copies are okay.

However, having just done an update I have found that the "Recently Opened" file is one from last month and the original project files are opening up and presenting me with half a project as if all of the saves I have done over the last few weeks weren't completed.

I have been working on a project today and had made a lot of progress but had not yet saved a copy. The update happened and now I have lost all of todays work.

Thankfully, I had exported a movie file as I had finished but I need the project file in case the client requests any changes.

Thank you for your help.

!!!***UPDATE***!!!

3 hours and 5 Apple Employees later we have recovered one of the files.

Still a mystery as to what happened so if anybody knows then it would be great to find out.

Going to start using the Creative Cloud now for all future projects.

I'm a bit confused about your issue. Are you saying that if you open your project that it doesn't open the actual project, but an older version?

Or are you saying that the launch window isn't displaying the correct "recent file"? If that's the case, you could simply just click "Open Project" and navigate to the correct one on your hard drive.

And then you said you were working on a project, you saved, updated premiere, and then couldn't open it?

Additionally, you ay want to get in the habit of having Premiere Auto-save for you. In preferences, go to Auto Save, and click the box for "Automatically save projects". And set how frequently and how many projects you'd like to work with. You can even have it auto save a back up to Creative Cloud as an option for not losing work.

Hi, thanks for getting back to me.

The projects have all disappeared from both on the "Recently Opened" on Adobe Premiere and also in the File Locations. The Auto-Saves have all disappeared too as I have Auto-Save switched on.
