Mac: Welcome screen stays in the foreground

On the Mac the welcome screen in Premiere 2021 stay sin the foreground. Even if another app is the focused app (like Finder) the welcome screen stays on top. It would be really nice to be able to navigate around in the Finder to get to my project file.

As someone who would prefer Premiere skip the slow and clunky welcome screen altogether (opening to an empty workspace or to a Finder/Explorer window to open a file) not being able to see under it is very frustrating.
