How is it possible that having this device I still get trouble editing simple footage on premiere pro while the computer gets extremely hot after a few minutes?

To give out more context:

• all other apps are closed
• it’s not connected to the internet
• i’m editing 2.7k 2 cameras, no music, simple effects (lumetri color) - GoPro footage
• SSD is 1/3 full capacity
• just erased/reinstalled macOS last month

why this keeps happening? Isn’t this supposed to be a great configuration for years to come?

actually, my previous mbp 13” mavericks, handled it better.
