Macbook Pro M1 PRO 16 GB

 Hello everyone, I recently bought a new laptop with M1 pro processor. It has 16GB ram. My previous device was M1. Even though I paid twice as much, there was no change in performance. I can't even edit any files right now. Premiere stutters excessively. What could the problem be caused by?

Hey Ceyhun,

Sorry about the poor experience. Which version of Premiere Pro are you currently using? Also, could you share your source file properties (Project Panel > Right-click on Media > Properties)?

Sorry about that. I just posted this on Benji's thread: 

This format is non-performant. Certain Intel-based computers containing NVIDIA GPUs can playback the format, but the jury is still out on Mac ARM machines' performance. Let the team know about your dissatisfaction with ProRes performance and Mac ARM computers here: https://adobe-video.uservoice.com/forums/911233-premiere-pro

 

As a workaround, I suggest transcoding to ProRes or creating ProRes proxies.
