Making a line of CTA - Custom Call to Action text italic

Hi,

I have taken over a Premiere Pro file where I initially only had to adjust the content but now I also need to change a line/sentence within a text box (Call to Action - Custom Call to Action) to italics 'Gratis toegang voor professionals'. How do I do this? It does not show a box where I can choose font, size, and italic as in the Text Source Text box. If I highlight the specific text, right-click and click font, and choose italic it doesn't stay that way without the entire text box being italic. Please help!

    Hi @helenah5505262,

    Thanks for the case notes. It appears that you may be using a .mogrt (template). Is that correct? If so, there may be a reason that the text would be locked to a specific style. Can you contact the person who designed the template and have them help you?

     

    If you cannot locate this person, open up the .mogrt and make the change yourself in After Effects. You do need to navigate an After Effects project, though. Let us know if you need help with that, OK? Sorry for the frustration. Please return with any questions.

    I have looked through all my files in the folder I received and, unfortunately, I cannot find a .mogrt file. I have a bunch of .aegraphic files which are each layer separately but no template. Would it work to try to find the specific ae layer that holds the text and update it? I just dont think that these loose files are really linked to the template I have to work in. Sorry, first time using premiere pro and after effects so it is a little confusing. 

    Again, thanks for your answer, it is a little less frustrating knowing the template might be locked for fonts etc, then it is not totally my ignorance of the software.

    Hi @helenah5505262 - Helena,

    Thanks for the added info. Can you try the following? Right-click the AE layer and choose Edit Original. Does AE launch with that layer? If so, change the text and save it in After Effects. See if the change ripples through into Premiere Pro. Let us know if that worked for you or not. I hope so! Sorry for the frustration on all this.
