Making Motion Graphic Templates for Essential Graphics Panel
I'm responsible for creating Motion Graphic Templates in After Effects CC 2017 for use in Premiere Pro 2017 by a team of video editors using the Essential Graphics panel. We've encountered a number of issues when using both the Motion Graphic Templates (MGT) stored in the Creative Cloud Library, as well as using the .mogrt files exported from After Effects and installed locally. The MGTs stored in the cloud often freeze and crash Premiere Pro, whilst the .mogrt files are unable to be organised or deleted in the Essential Graphics > Browse tab once installed.
Any ideas why this might be happening? Does the fact that the files are syncing to the cloud affect how they're treating inside the program software?
Also, does the use of Mercury GPU Acceleration (OpenCL) in the creation of the templates affect how they're used on another computer using Mercury Software Only?
Either way, are there best practice guidelines available for such a workflow, now that Adobe is really pushing the use of the Essential Graphics panel?
Here are the specs for the creator and user of the templates.
