Marker issue in Premiere Pro: applied to entire sequence instead of individual clip

Hi, I have a problem with Premiere Pro. When trying to place a marker on an individual clip, Premiere Pro places the color marker on all clips in the sequence. It's a project with multiple sequences. Within the sequences, I already had clips marked with different colors. However, when viewing the timeline, it no longer shows the previously placed markers.
